1. Integrel Stores electrical energy in a central 48V battery bank

  2. The Integrel generator/alternator is unique in that it produces raw 3 phase power that is then sent to the Integrel Intelligent controller.  This power is rectified to 48V DC and stored in the battery bank

  3. The intelligent controller has all of the electronics normally found on the alternator (diode pack) together with a intelligent algorithms to optimise the amount of power taken off the engine

  4. The existing alternator is not changed or replaced.  The Integrel generator is mounted in the 2nd alternator position. That way there is redundancy in place for charging the crank and house batteries

  5. Integrel also provides an alternative to top up the house and crank batteries via DC-DC converter(s) to ensure these "buffer batteries" are kept fully charged

  6. The Integrel intelligent Controller has charging algorithms for the certified Lithium batteries we support including Victron, Mastervolt, MG Energy Systems

  7. We provide as standard a Lithium Ion Safety switch which is a mandatory requirement in the installation. This provides a "last line of defense" should the BMS fail, overcurrent, undercurrent, low State of Charge or excess temperature. This is an additional safety feature that we deem necessary as we have seen a lot of interesting behaviour even from "certified battery brands"

  8. The Integrel Intelligent controller is able to determine if the yacht is underway, in neutral, has a rapid RPM increase or decrease and it adjusts the amount of power taken from the engine accordingly. The calculation is made 100 times each second!

  9. We support and have installed many dual Integrel solutions on catamarans.  Giving a potential to charge at up to 18kW. We do not "part ship" our system.  That would lead to possible misconfiguration, and a dangerous situation that we can not warrant.
