Victron Inverter settings for Victron batteries with VE.Bus BMS


First Isolate the inverter from both battery and mains power.

Remove the terminal access panel and connect a RJ45 network cable to the inverter charger. 


Replace the cover and turn the inverter on.


Connect the the Victron VE.Bus - USB interface Mk3 to the network cable and the interface box to a USB port on a laptop


Open the software, under port selection click auto select com port


You should then get the following screen.


On this screen ensure the system frequency is set correctly. 


If you have a remote for the inverter/charger ensure “overruled by remote” is ticked





Check the settings below match























Check the settings match as shown below (inverter voltage is specific to the rest of the systems on the boat)






















Click the “Battery type” button on the charger tab and select “Lithium Iron Phosphate, LiFePo4, batteries” 























Then press ok to this popup






















You will then get this screen, check the charger parameters are correct.























Integrel does not require the use of the virtual switch























When using a VE.Bus BMS in conjunction with the inverter/charger an assistant must be installed.

Click “Add assistant” followed by All assistants, then VE.Bus BMS





You will then have the assistant in italics. Press “Start assistant”























Continue through the next buttons on the popup window.























Then you will get this popup window, Click OK.























Now the assistant shows up in standard text.























The settings now need to be uploaded to the inverter, press “Send Settings” select “all settings” and press ok.
